What’s New in ImagePrint 1.52: Modern Look & Faster Resizing

ImagePrint 1.52 is here — and it brings a fresher look, smarter resizing tools, and handy new shortcuts that make printing photos even easier. Whether you’re new to ImagePrint or a long-time user, this update has something for everyone. Read on to discover everything that’s changed and how each improvement helps you get better prints faster.

1. Brand-New Look for ImagePrint

ImagePrint 1.52 launches with a redesigned interface. Two changes stand out immediately.

Menu Bar Moves Into the Title Bar

The top menu bar has been integrated directly into the title bar. This means the menu options (File, Edit, Layout, and so on) now share the same row as the application title at the very top of the window.

Why does this matter? By combining two bars into one, ImagePrint reclaims a full row of screen space. Your canvas — the white area where you arrange and preview photos — is now taller. On smaller laptop screens, this extra room makes a noticeable difference.

Tip: All the same menu options you used before are still there — they have simply moved up by one row. If you cannot find a menu item, look at the very top of the window.

Rounded Buttons for a Cleaner Style

All toolbar buttons across the application now feature rounded corners. This is a purely visual update, but it makes the interface feel more modern and consistent — similar to what you see in today’s popular apps.

2. Recent Sizes — Your Most-Used Photo Sizes at One Click

Do you resize photos to the same dimensions over and over? ImagePrint 1.52 remembers your recent sizes so you don’t have to enter them twice.

How It Works

When you select an image and resize it using the Image Size dialog (opened by clicking the image resizeResize button on the image’s context toolbar), ImagePrint automatically saves that size to a list called Recent sizes.

How to Access Your Recent Sizes

Look at the image resize Resize button on the context toolbar of a selected image. You will now see a small down arrow (▾) attached to the right side of the button. Click that arrow to open a dropdown menu. Your recently used sizes appear at the top of the menu for instant reuse.

The list holds up to 10 recent sizes and is saved between sessions — meaning your list is still there even after you close and reopen ImagePrint.

Tip: The context toolbar only appears when you click on an image. If you cannot see the Resize button, click on a photo first — a small toolbar will pop up just above it.

3. Photo and Standard Sizes Built Right In

The same dropdown menu on the image resize Resize button now also shows a ready-made list of commonly used photo and standard paper sizes. You no longer have to type dimensions manually for the most popular sizes.

What Sizes Are Available?

The dropdown includes popular photo print sizes such as:

  • 4 × 6 inches (the classic small photo print)
  • 5 × 7 inches
  • 8 × 10 inches
  • A4 and other standard paper sizes

Simply click the down arrow next to the image resize Resize button and pick the size that matches your paper or photo album slot.

How resizing works: When you pick a standard size from the menu, ImagePrint first resizes the photo to fit and then crops it if needed so the result exactly matches the chosen dimensions.

4. Swap Width and Height — Flip Portrait to Landscape Instantly

The final new feature in version 1.52 solves a very common problem: you have a portrait photo (taller than wide) but you need a landscape layout (wider than tall) — or the other way around.

How to Use Swap Width and Height

Follow these simple steps:

  • Click on the image you want to change.
  • Click the down arrow (▾) next to the Resize button on the context toolbar.
  • Select “Swap Width and Height” from the dropdown menu.
  • ImagePrint resizes and crops the image to fit the swapped dimensions automatically.

A Practical Example

Imagine you want to print a landscape photo on a standard 6 × 4 inch (15 × 10 cm) photo card, but your image is saved in portrait orientation (4 × 6). Instead of rotating or manually typing new dimensions, just click Swap Width and Height and ImagePrint handles the conversion for you in one step.

Tip: Portrait means the photo is taller than it is wide (like a selfie). Landscape means the photo is wider than it is tall (like a group photo taken sideways). Swapping just exchanges those two dimensions.
